It's been a while since I've been on an actual rollercoaster, but that's exactly what I did last night.

As some of you political junkies may know, tomorrow starts the Dem0cratic Nati0nal C0nvention that is being hosted here in Denver. It's an exciting time and I have my hopes up for many celebrity sightings. 0prah is here in town, you know...

Last night my friend Kitt was able to score some tickets to the media party that was held at Elich's - the local amusement park. Hop on over to her blog (just click on her highlighted name) to read about it. It was a blast and I thank her very much for inviting me.

What a lucky day.

It must be, because this happy guy has managed to live to the ripe old age of 8.

I've wondered sometimes with so many mishaps... he ate a pound of dark chocolate on my birthday one year, he has Addison's disease which is life threatening without regular medications (and he has a forgetful mom), he once nearly died from bloat, and his most recent escapade where he ate a large loaf of bread that was rising on a friend's counter -
by this time they knew him by name at the Vet ER.

Yeah, he's 8 yrs old on 8/8/8! How cool is that.
It's been suggested I follow him around lest
he lay a golden egg.

Here he is at 6 wks old. He's standing on my hand. Awwww so cute!

Now sniffing my hand at the ripe age of 8 - that's 56 in human years....

Happy Birthday Leo! You keep me on my toes, that's for sure - and as log as I have you, I'll never have to worry about having too much money.
